Jeff Smith

Jeff has over thirty years of experience in a variety of executive and entrepreneurial leadership positions and has expertise in executive management, business and product planning, sales & marketing, acquisitions, divestitures, turn-arounds, operations and finance. His accomplishments include:

  • Over 15 years of dedicated experience as an Acquisition Speciallist.
  • Founder and President of Inc. Magazine "500 Fastest Growing Private Company" for 17 years.
  • An Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" award winner for the Midwest Region.
  • Creating a new business practice for a Top 10 CPA/Consulting Firm.
  • Over 15 years dedicated experience with M&A transactions on both the sell and buy sides.

Jeff earned a BS in Marketing from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and he is a graduate of the Kauffman Foundation's FastTrac Entrepreneur Program. He is a lifetime member of the Institute of American Entrepreneurs.




Todd Hacker

Senior Advisor



Todd has over 30 years of senior executive level experience including business ownership, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, finance, strategy development, investor relations, and investment management.  His accomplishments include:

  • President and owner of CBMC Lighting since 2010.  Under his leadership the company has grown from $6 to $18 million in annual sales with new sales locations in New York NY, Phoenix AZ, and Palm Springs CA.
  • As Treasurer of Nalco Chemical, he led the 2003 sale of the company for $4.3 billion to Apollo, Goldman Sachs and Blackstone culminating in the 8th largest leveraged buyout in US history.
  • Senior Vice President Finance & Treasury of CNO Financial where he was responsible for numerous functions including corporate finance, treasury insurance, purchasing, contracts, facilities, security and maintenance. Led the consolidation of the Chicago regional headquarters resulting in annual savings of over $5 million and a 14% reduction at head count.
  • As Senior Vice President, Finance for Yellow Transportation he led all administrative and financial activities including accounting, forecasting, procurement, collections, security, and equipment management. Successfully completed acquisition financing for the $2.3 billion purchase of US Freightways.
  • Assistant Treasurer and Director Capital Markets for CNH Capital.  Responsible for all capital market activities including portfolio hedging, asset securitizations, interest rate risk management, and foreign exchange trading.

Todd has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. Todd was a four-year letterman on the Indiana University tennis team and was named academic all Big 10 for three years. He was also a member of the Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) fraternity. Todd currently serves on the board of the Indiana chapter of Young Presidents Association (YPO) and is past president of the central Indiana US Tennis Association.





Anil Rao

Anil earned his bachelors's degree of Electrical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Michigan Technological University.  As a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, Sathya Sai Center of Indianapolis (former President, VP), and current teacher of Human Values - Anil brings passion of Service led activities to all sides of his life.  On the weekend, you will find him playing Tennis/Pickleball, enjoying time with his Wife, Daughters, and dog (Jack), hiking, swimming, cooking and learning.





Rahul Kapur

Rahul has over thirty five years of successful business experience which includes Marketing, Finance, Strategy Development and R&D and has been involved with over 30 M&A transactions on both the sell and buy sides with transaction values ranging from $1 million to over $600 million. His accomplishments include:

  • Managing Director and Partner in Icon Investment Partners, a specialized acquisition & management company pursuing opportunities in the consumer and industrial branded sectors, co-invests with other Private Equity firms and works with these companies to create value.
  • President of Ark Capital Investments, a family LLC which invests in ventures of Icon Investment Partners and also makes significant independent investments and is a limited partner in several Private Equity funds and technology start-ups.
  • Served as Head of Corporate Development/M&A, Chief Strategy Officer and General Manager for the   Prescription Eyewear Division for Aearo Technologies, a leading Safety Products company with sales of over $550 million, for over ten years, until its successful sale to 3M Corp. He worked closely with shareholders, led the development of business strategy, made nine acquisitions and drove three exit processes.

Rahul has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Summa-Cum-Laude), an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (Cum-Laude) and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management from New York University.
